SETTING REALISTIC GOALS: Mindset

When it comes to achieving goals people can be very impatient on the whole. This is perfectly normal when we live in an instant gratification of Amazon Prime and its next day delivery promise or the fact you can order cuisine from all corners of the world from your sofa. 

However, when it comes to changing our bodies and our lifestyle the results can take a little longer to present themselves.

So, how do we set and go about achieving a realistic goal?

SET A TIMESCALE

Start with a time scale, not a goal. 

For example, 12 weeks is a good starting point to make a huge difference to your health and overall body shape. We have had some incredible 12 week transformations.

Check out some of the steps below that will help you achieve those goals.

Step 1 – Eat better, Eat less. You need to look at your current calorie intake and work out your deficit, for more information on this take a look at our Website(insert link) and try our calorie calculator to help you. A calorie tracker such as MyFitnessPal will help you watch your calorie intake.

Step 2 – Move more.  This doesn’t have to be getting in the gym or running miles. Get your steps up as a start and make it a daily goal to go further than you did the day before, and keep going.

Step 3 – Use photos to track your progress. The scales don’t always tell the full story but how your clothes fit and feel and how you look are really the best measures of progress.
