Sports Massage for Muscular Performance, Recovery and rehabilitation
Sports Massage therapy helps the prevention of injury and rehabilitates all muscles so that you can get the most out of your training, workouts and day-to-day routine.
If you are on a personal training programme at Absolute or workout elsewhere, you’ll know that performance recovery and rehabilitation is an important part of your training programme.
If you have suffered from sports injuries, soft tissue damage or have another issue that is hindering your performance, our trained sports therapist is able to work with you to create a treatment plan aimed at allowing your soft tissue to heal. Or, if you find you are aching after your workouts we can provide regular massage treatment.
Sports therapy also works largely with rehabilitation. So if you are experiencing any nerve problems or arthritis of any kind we can help build a rehab programme to ease those symptoms and diagnosis. We can’t fix it but we can definitely help you slow symptoms and get you back to activities/hobbies you enjoy most. But how? Well when muscles are tightened they become less useful in protecting things beneath the surface I.e bones, nerves etc. If we have a healthy loosened muscle it will work much better in protecting those beneath the surface. Using a range of techniques, weight bearing exercises and stretches will aid a healthy loosened muscle.
