Not only does it involve pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, but it means altering your mindset to ensure you get sustainable results that actually make you happy. At Absolute, we don’t focus on the short-term and work with you to build the best version of yourself whilst offering you the education and practices you need to turn your life around for good.

It can often feel as though weight loss and personal improvement is a solo journey, but with Absolute, you don’t need to go it alone. Thanks to the nature of our gym, you’ll soon get to know our team of personal trainers who work alongside you to get results. We will be your motivation on the days when you don’t have any. We will sit with you when you feel as though you need support. We will cheer for you when you succeed.

Whether it’s a recent injury, a change in circumstance or you are just finding yourself in a plateau; our individual personal training sessions can help as they are adjusted to your personal needs. All of our coaches are not only amazing personal trainers but equipped with a range of knowledge which means we can help you with any issue you present. 

During your initial assessment, you’ll be able to talk about the problems you may be facing and any injuries you may have holding you back, and we’ll factor this into your plan. We won’t ignore them, but rather work with you at your own pace to improve and overcome them.

Working out is addictive and we know that improving in the gym is a goal you chase every day. Whether it’s upping your PBs, incorporating new exercises or training for a competition, we can help guide you with a personal plan and expert advice.

Come to us with your goal and current training plan, and we’ll work with you on that in our state-of-the-art facility and also introduce new techniques or exercises that could aid your mission. We’ll also be there to check your form and spot you as you power through your goals and reach new levels.

What Do I Get?

We pride ourselves on being a centre that goes above and beyond, and when you start one-on-one personal training at our facility, you’ll experience everything we have to offer.

One-on-One Training Sessions

Our one-to-one training sessions are tailored-made by our team of personal trainers on a client-by-client basis and so, your training programme will be unique to you and you alone. What we can tell you, is they won’t be one-hour sweat-fests with a coach yelling at you and belittling you, but calm and enjoyable sessions where your trainer will educate you and motivate you to be better than you were the day before.

Access to Our Studio

We encourage all of our private clients to make use of our studio when not working with their trainer, and so you’ll have full access to our space. This means that you’ll be able to come in outside of your coached sessions, pick up your plan and get to work. Because this is a private coaching facility, you’ll find that the gym floor is quiet and you’ll be able to dive in without having to navigate any crowds.

Nutrition Planning

When working towards a fitness goal, your nutrition is a big part of the equation to success and we will also work with you in this area, something many personal trainers aren’t able to do. After your initial assessment, we’ll send you a tailored nutrition plan which can help you see results. These aren’t diets, but scientific plans that’ll guarantee results. Throughout your time at Absolute we’ll work with you to improve your nutrition, and readjust your plan if needed - we’ll even offer recipe recommendations if you ask!

Fit3D Body Scanning

Something you’ll find at no other gym in Barnstaple is a Fit3D Body Scanner, and it’s one of the reasons why clients love Absolute. Weight on the scales is only one way to measure success, and with our body scanner, you’ll be able to see your results and compare the changes you’ve made. With scans throughout your programme, you’ll be able to see how your body composition, measurements, weight and more changes.

24-Hour Support

We encourage open and honest dialogue between all of our trainers and clients, and part of that means you’ll have access to 24-hour support should you need it. Our trainers aren’t just there for you through the good times, and we know that it can be invaluable to have someone to lean on when your motivation wanes, or just to ask a quick question too when you aren’t sure about something. As well as giving you the chance to reach out whenever you want, you’ll receive a weekly check-in form which helps us to monitor your progress and highlight any potential hindrances as early as possible. We also have a private Facebook group for all of our clients where questions can be asked, suggestions made and we post advice frequently.

Education and Advice

The education and advice we offer doesn’t stop there. Throughout your time with us, you’ll have access to our own education booklets covering everything from nutrition information to what the healthiest item on the Burger King menu is! We want every person who trains at Absolute to feel as though they aren’t just being shown what to do but why, and the education we offer is a big part of that.

What happens when I sign up?

When you sign up, one of our team will get in touch with you to arrange a private consultation where you can talk about your goals, take a tour of our private gym and also ask us any questions you may have.

How much will it cost?

As each of our plans are entirely personalised to you, we prefer to have a consultation with you where price is something we discuss. We understand that for many, budget is a deciding factor and we will work with you to find something that will give you the results you want that you can afford.

How long is my programme?

Your programme and training plan can be however long you want it to be. We understand that sometimes people wish to get in shape for a certain event and if that is the case we can work with you to try and get the results you want in your timeframe. For others, it’s about the journey and you are welcome to stay and train with us for as long as you want.

How long will it take?

Every journey is different, but we understand that some people don’t want to train with us forever. When you start, you’ll be signed up on a rolling monthly programme and when you are ready, you’ll be able to leave at any time. Alternatively, if we find that private coaching isn’t for you we can look at the other ways we could support your journey.
