Difficulty losing weight can be nearly impossible to address unless identified why. It’s not always easy because there can be many factors. Foremost it can be a simple case of just not exercising enough and eating too much. However in some cases it’s not that simple and there can be hidden factors that are affecting your metabolism and its ability to function efficiently. When this is happening often the harder you try the more weight you seem to gain.
As a coach I help people understand food, nutrition and diet. I have worked with many people on a 1-1 basis and have in that time met people who you know are eating right and exercising enough but just does not respond as they should. This led me to start looking at this closer.
I have found that in some cases people are suffering from issues that is having a serious effect on their metabolism and health and not necessarily down to food or exercise. In some cases there is an underlying cause.
We all know that stress is not good for us. The reason for this is because when we are stressed our body more to the point our adrenals which sit above our kidneys produce a hormone called Cortisol. Now Cortisol is important but not great if being produced at random times especially at night when we are trying to sleep.
High Cortisol levels make fat loss very difficult.
