Nutrition is key
Can you train your way to the perfect abs? Absolutely not, what you eat and drink will become far more important that the way in which you train. Visible defined abs are due to a low body fat percentage and will not show their faces with sit-ups alone. Try to consume plenty of water and steer clear of anything processed- you DON’T need to. The more water you can drink the more visible your abs will become. This will allow your body to flush out subcutaneous water (Bloating).
The core of your body is a major mover and worker in all compound lifts. A strong core will help increase your strength in such lifts and improve your body as a whole. Instead of spending hours on pointless crunches, focus on big lifts e.g. squats, deadlifts, pull ups, bench press, military press – this will be the best way to strengthen and build your abs. Don’t spend all your time on a ‘daily ab routine’ focus on them once a week like you would any other body part.
