Every one of us contains a small amount of brown fat; BAT (brown adipose tissue) a recent study showed that individual differences in BAT amounts play a massive part in human obesity. Brown fat converts food energy straight into heat, where as white fat does the opposite it stores energy. Individual levels in brown fat have an immediate affect of obesity. In a recent university study it was concluded that converting abdominal fat to into brown adipose tissue (BAT) might be the break through for combating obesity.
